Westover Air Force Base, Mass. -- Capt. Edna E. Manter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Manter, 79 Hillcrest Road, Westover, boards an air force Convair flying ambulance at Westover on a routine medical air evacuating flight. Capt. Manter, who is a graduate of the New England Baptist Hospital School of Medicine in Boston, has been an air force nurse for seven years and has served in Germany and Tripoli. She is now a flight nurse with the 1732nd air transport squadron (air evac) at Westover.
