Charged in slaying

Victor Lewis Fassero, 36, a telephone company worker, in custody after he was charged today with the "silk stocking" strangling of Mrs. Edna Lee. The 32-year-old blonde, a graduate student at Wayne State University, was found strangled in the bathtub of her apartment Wednesday. Police Inspector Hiram Phipps said Fassero told police he was a former sweetheart of Mrs. Lee and had lived in her apartment for a year.
