Raymond McMahon, 17-year-old former Chicago youth, sits in police station with father, a. h. McMahon of Atlanta (right), after surrendering on kidnapping charge. A grand jury earlier today indicated youth in abduction of 7-year-old girl Friday. The child was rescued when her mother, Mrs. R.E. Carroll jr., jumped into family station wagon, caught up with kidnapper and rammed his car.

In The Swim With New Record is Mary Ryan of Louisville, Ky., who broke the AAU mile free style mark at Portland, Ore., yesterday, being timed in 23:15. Doris Brennan of Providence was third in the medley swim and Dorothy Leonard of Worcester was third in the 110-yard event. Both were defending champions.
