Called Murder Victim – Mrs. Edith Morrell, above, 81-year-old widow who died in Eastbourne, England, in 1950, died of an overdose of drugs according to Scotland Yard detectives. Dr. John Bodkin Adams, 57-year-old society doctor has been charged with her murder. Five magistrates today heard evidence in the Morrell case to decide if the charge against Dr. Adams should go to trial before a judge and a jury.
