A direct relationship with the biblical text, fundamental to know Christian faith, was a key point in the theology of the man who began the Reformation, Martin Luther. This relationship requires the use and knowledge of Greek, the language of the New Testament. Here, Luther is represented as Saint Jerome, author of the Vulgate, the Latin version of the Bible recognised as the reference text by the Catholic Church.
