Tall, cool, blonde and poised Annmarie Renger is assured of a special niche in German history and in annals of parliaments of the world. She is president of the West German Bundestag, a post equivalent to speaker in the U.S. House of Representatives. Her aides say she is very aware that makes her the first woman President of any national parliament in the world.
