Bumpety-bumpety -- This first-base traffic jam livened the ninth inning of the World Series opener when Paul Derringer, Reds pitcher, raced to first for help on the play when Red Rolfe was out. Arriving at the bag, Derringer found that first baseman Frank McCormick had the situation well in hand by beating the runner to the bag. That's why Big Paul is trying to get out of the traffic and is getting a shove from Rolfe in the bargain. The umpire is Beans Reardon
