Billy Burke Edwards, an ex-GI from Indianapolis, Ind., who married a British war bride, is being held by British Police in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, on charges of murdering his infant daughter, Brenda. The child disappeared last summer when the parents claimed they had sent the infant to relatives in Devonshire. Edwards' arrest followed the discovery of human remains -- believed to have been the child's body, in a woods near Southwick, on the Channel coast. Photo at left shows Edwards with his wife and son, Billy, Jr., and at right, he is shown with the missing child, Brenda, whose disappearance brought about his arrest.
