Boy admits killing father

Springfield, Colo., -- Eleven-year-old Earl Wear of Pritchett, Colo., calmly eats an ice cream cone after admitting, Dist. Atty. Carl Shinn said, he fatally shot his sleeping father, Leonard, 47, early Wednesday because "he made me go to school and wouldn't let me cut broom corn for a neighbor so I could make money." The boy is being held in the private jail residence of Baca County Sheriff O.L. Jackson while Shinn decides on the charge to be filed.
