Bookplate of Lincoln College, Oxford

The arms of the College surmount a view of part of the buildings with trees at either end. The date 1427 is divided by the mitre above the escutcheon. After the completion of the work two proofs were printed from the copper before steel-facing. These differ slightly in quality, but not in state, from the ordinary impressions of the book plate.
