Bobby Shantz Weighed and Measured - Bobby Shantz, Philadelphia Athletics lefthander who is leading the Major Leagues with sixteen wins and three defeats, tipped the beam at 139 1/2 pounds when he was placed on the scales tonight by Fred Humphreys, chief of Philadelphia's Bureau of Weights and Measures, with A's manager Jimmy Dykes looking on. Shantz' size had been the subject of much discussion among fans and teammates.
