Found in Egypt in 1893.Halvor Bagge was a Scandinavian artist who worked with Arthur Evans at Knossos. Bagge restored the faience snake goddess from the Temple Repositories at Knossos. Like the Gillierons Bagge made a number of reproductions of Minoan and Mycenanean antiquities that he offered for sale. He was also a collector of Medieval and Byzantine art.The greenish tinge of this reproduction reflects the color of the original. The original is in the Borely Museum in Marseilles.
