Mrs. Elizabeth Welker, former singer under name of Bede Best, "reads" music from the new symbols she helped develop in the Braille system. Mrs. Welker has been going blind in recent years and now works at the Berklee School of Music, Boston, Mass., teaching popular music and jazz to the blind.
