A rare combination in eastern U.S., is this mother-and-daughter who have soloed for private flying licenses. Mrs. Austin R. Winder, of Montoursville, Pa.(L), has been flying for over a year, and her 20-year-old daughter Lorraine soloed recently to complete the team. Their instructor was also a woman.
