Six-year-old Karyn Prestwich of North Fork, Idaho, resumes her first-grade work from her University of Utah Hospital bed. Karyn won a struggle for life after being shot in abdomen last Nov. 6 while waiting for a school bus. A hunter mistook her for a deer, police said. Her mother said "It was a big day" for Karyn when she resumed classwork. She has received more than $10,000 in contributions to pay for medical costs.
