Los Angeles – Willie The Wisp Loses Cap – Fleet Willie Davis of the Dodgers is safe at first base in the first inning of the World Series at Los Angeles today as second baseman Frank Quilici of the Twins, covering the bag, muffs Harmon Killebrew’s throw. Davis had made a sacrifice bunt toward third. When the ball got away from Quilici, Jim Gilliam scored and Davis raced all the way to third. Note his cap and liner flying off his head.
