Santa Monica, Calif.--Charles W. Hinman, 59, sits handcuffed in a Los Angeles sheriff's office today after his arrest on charges he tried to hire assassins to kill his young ex-wife and Murray Chotiner, national campaign manager for Richard Nixon in 1952 and 1956. Hinman, an attorney, denied the charges but admitted he disliked Chotiner, who was Mrs. Hinman's divorce lawyer.
