When Monica Fairall, 20, of Durban, South Africa, made her entrance, right, in the evening gown division of the Miss Universe pageant on Miami Beach Wednesday night, there was scattered applause. But the whistles poured out when Monica walked down the ramp, revealing a bunch of back to row after row in the auditorium. Finals are Saturday night.
