Of the sixteen fight prints, only six have recognizable characters. The identities of the fighters and managers pictured here are unknown, but they all appear again in the second version. A drawing titled "The Savior of His Race" that appeared in "The Masses," May 1915, was a study of the weary fighter sprawled on the stool in the far corner of the ring. (Mason)
