What started out as a wedding reception in Meridian Hall, East Boston, for Coast Guardsman Robert Fisher and his bride, the former Edith Petrillo, ended up in a free-for-all with "the bride getting slugged, their cake ruined (see below), the hall turned into a shambles and five revelers, including Robert, being jailed. He paid $15 fine for slugging one of eight patrolman answering riot call. Couple (at left) start on their delayed honeymoon vowing "no more fights."
