The Atlanta sports stadium (shown in a 1965 file photo) is the home of both the Braves, this city's major league baseball team, and the Falcons, Atlanta's big-league football team. As a booming sense of optimism and pride fills this city, Atlantans are succumbing to a fever for sports and cultural events. In addition to the spanking new stadium, the city also has a glistering civic auditorium and a Memorial Cultural Center to house its symphony, ballet, museum and a legitimate theater.
