Berkeley, Calif: Policemen stand alternately facing on campus and toward the street at the Sather Gate entrance to the University of California at Berkeley 1/29 after they ordered out of the way 300 student pickets blocking the main entrance. The police. who pushed a few of the pickets who were slow to move, acted because other students had difficulty in getting to and from classes.
