Same subject as preceding plate, "Bérénice (1st plate)," catalogue raisonné number 151. Egaeus is astonished at the appearance of the teeth of dead Berenice. The bier is on trestles, near the bed, and lighted by a large candle. The bier is in the foreground, beside a table covered with a cross, a plate, and a glass.
