Bennie Bedwell, once questioned about the slaying of the Grimes sisters, poses with Marlene Winchell, 23, Paris, Tenn., whom he said she would marry. The former Skid Row dishwasher said she was his hometown sweetheart. Bedwell once confessed and then denied knowledge of the Grimes sisters slayings and was later cleared. The nude bodies of Barbara Grimes, 15, and her sister, Patricia, 13, were found along a Cook County road, Jan. 22, 1957. The case never has been solved.
