"American Mothers" meet

Mrs. Emma Clarissa Clement (right) of Louisville, Ky., named "American Mother of 1946" by the Golden Rule Foundation, chats with Mrs. Harper Sibley of New York, the "American Mother of 1945," during reception held today in honor of Mrs. Clement at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. Mrs. Clement, first Negro woman to be named "American Mother," was presented the foundation's medal at the reception.
