Believed To Have Deserted--Pvt. Larry A. Abshier, 18, Garfield Heights, O., today was reported by the Army as having “apparently deserted his post” and fled to Communist North Korea on May 28. The Army said Abshier was seen running toward Red territory by his security outpost team leader and ignored calls to return. Pvt. Abshier was with the 9th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Div.
