Orleans, Indiana... FBI agents and the police of 5 states joined in the hunt for Adrian Parks, 25, an ex-GI, said to be a mental, case, who is believed to have removed Mrs. Hallie Goodpasture, 25-year-old mother of two children, (above), from her home at the point of a gun. Mrs. Goodpastures' husband, Walker, told police that his two young sons saw Parks force Mrs. Goodpasture at gunpoint from their Orleans home. Goodpasture signed a kidnapping warrant against Parks.

Kyoto, Japan: Flames roar skyward from clothes of two leftist Japanese students after they accidentally set themselves on fire during a skirmish with police at Kyoto University here 9/20. Police were trying to break up a student occupation of buildings at the university. The two students were severely burned in the accident which climaxed a day of violent clashes between police and students.
