Mrs. Fred Rosen of Port Arthur, Texas, the former Nancy Sirote of Brooklyn, New York (shown) has announced a lofty ambition - to become the second woman governor of Texas. (The first was Miriam (Ma) Ferguson, 1925). But more than just an ambition to be acted upon at some future date, 19-year-old Mrs. Rosen has already launched her campaign, with the next gubernatorial race in Texas as her day of destiny. A graduate of Julia Richmond High School in New York at 15, she became the youngest graduate in the history of the University of Miami, and met her husband, an industrial executive when he was vacationing in Miami Beach. Mrs. Rosen has joined several women's organizations of Port Arthur and is already gather-ing a large following who voice approval of her political hopes.
