Alou Run Down in Longest Game--Jesus Alou, Giants right fielder, 14, is victim of rundown at hands of Mets' first sacker Ed Kranepool, 21, in fourth inning of the San Francisco-New York second game of doubleheader in New York's Shea Stadium tonight. The play went: catcher Chris Cannizzaro to second baseman Amadeo Samuel to Kranepool. It was longest game in point of time in National League history. Giants took opener, 5-3.
