Baseball Moguls Make Plans for Series. With the World Series less than a month off and both flag races still somewhat open, leaders of two American League teams and three National League clubs were in conference with Judge Kenesaw Mountain Landis, high commissioner of baseball, in his Chicago office Sept. 13 to draw up tentative plans. Left to right, standing about the desk of judge Landis are: C.F. Navin, secretary of Detroit; W.C. Witt, treasurer of the St. Louis Cardinals; Frank Navin, Detroit president; William Harridge, president of the American League; James Tierney, secretary of the New York Giants; En Barrow, business manager of the Yankees and William Walker, president of the Chicago Cubs.
