Bowling green, Ky., Ward j. Hopkins, 30, sits on a mattress in cell in Pike county jail today shortly after he was sentenced to die in the gas chamber for raping an 8-year-old Troy girl he lured from a church picnic with a promise of candy. Hopkins, alias Ronald Lee Wolf showed little emotion after the sentence.
