Pictured above, right, is Ruth Farnsworth, 27-year-old native of San Francisco employed by the U.S. Navy here, who was found half naked, brutally beaten and unconscious in a Guam jungle today. She had been missing since Saturday night. Investigators said she was the victim of a sex crime, apparently carried out by several men. She was discovered in a secluded spot about 200 yards in back of a jade shop where she worked part time. An employee in the base development office of the Navy Commander of the Marianas, Miss Farnsworth came to Guam two years ago and was planning to return to San Francisco next spring to marry Marine Sergeant Sterling McGinnis, now stationed on Guam. Pictured with her, seated, is sister Alene.
