Widower Navy CWO Francis L. Beardsley, father of 10 children, carries statue of St. Francis, treasured possession of his bride-to-be, Mrs. Helen North (R), widowed mother of eight children, into home here 9/7, which is being greatly enlarged to accomodate their combined families. The couple, who met after they exchanged prayers by mail after their spouses died about the same time last year, will wed in Mission Carmel Basilica here 9/9.
