Alameda, Calif.: National Guardsmen, on the alert to move onto the riot-torn Univ. of California campus in case new violence erupts, practice crowd control here early 2/21. Gov. Ronald Reagan, meeting with the Regents of the Univ. of Calif. on the campus 2/21, requested the National Guard to make whatever preparations necessary to provide assistance to law enforcement officers should it become necessary. S spokesman for the Guard said units could be on the campus in "less than an hour".
