Areas in Four States Hit by Flood Waters - Boxes on map show principal points on the Missouri and Minnesota rivers where flood waters were on the rampage today. In Pierre, capital city of South Dakota, water had covered one-fifth of the city. Breaking dikes near South Sioux City, Neb., caused inundation of large areas of low-lying farmlands. On the Iowa side of the Missouri River, rising waters threatened the stockyards. In Minnesota, the rampaging waters of the Minnesota River forced 50 families from their homes near Chaska and threatened New Ulm and Mankato.
