Aimed at U.N.--This home-made mortar was found in Queens on the east bank of the East River, across from the United Nations site, two hours after a shell exploded in the river near the U.N. headquarters building. The mortar was found in this position, tied down on a wooden box. with the alarm clock timing mechanism on the side of the barrel still ticking. A Cuban flag was taped on the barrel in front of the sight.
