The female figure on the right is seen from behind. She sits on the ground on a drapery which surrounds her legs and also hides her elbow. The woman on the left is seen almost from the front and she turns away from her companion's side, in a movement of surprise. The drapery on which she sits leaves her legs bare, but covers the middle of her body. There is a thinning of the woods on the left.
