Aids in Low Cost Housing Heavy machinery used for grading and other earth moving operations such as ditch digging contribute to lower costs in housing construction, according to Spiros Ponty, one of the ten leading builders in Los Angeles County. Ponty, along with several other Los Angeles builders, hopes to bring down the present selling price of homes to $5,000. He believes it can be done through mass buying, mass construction and mass selling.
