Back Up the New Manager--In center, Hank Bauer, Kansas City Athletics’ new manager, is happy for the back-to-back home runs hit by Norm Siebern, left, and Wes Covington, right. Siebern’s last of the ninth blast high against the center field wall went for an inside-the-park home run and tied the score with the New York Yankees, 3-3. Then Covington’s drive over the right wall won the game. Bauer, replacing Joe Gordon made his debut as manager in last night’s game.
