AWOL GI in rape-slaying of 84-year-old woman

Ronald Wayne Cooper, a 17-year-old GI, is shown at the W. 30th St. police station with a detective (left) after being arrested in connection with the rape-slaying of 84-year-old Mrs. Olga Murdock, of Ogdensburg, N.Y. Cooper was picked up by police today as he stepped off the Ogdensburg bus at the 34th St. terminal. Cooper went AWOL from Ft. Dix Saturday. The fatal attack on the retired school teacher took place in her home early Wednesday.
