Bedford, Quebec, Canada: Abel Vosburgh, 63 (C), a jobless farm laborer, was found criminally responsible late 1/17 for the death of his wife in a flash fire that killed her and 11 of the couple's 15 children in their Noyan, Quebec shanty three weeks ago. It was first believed that Mrs. Vosburgh had been killed by the flames, but, medico-legal experts who later examined her body, ruled death was caused by a head injury. Vosburgh is shown here 1/17 as he listens to evidence at the coroner's inquest. Police now are preparing to charge him formally with his wife's death.
