2/10/69- Newark, N.J.: Mayor Hugh J. Addonizio (shown in '67 filer) admitted 12/10 that he knew a reputed Mafia lieutenant who figures in an investigation by a Federal grand jury into allegations of official corruption in Newark. The mayor made the admission at a hearing before U.S. District Court Judge Robert Shaw on whether he was justified in refusing to answer the grand jury's questions.
