Arrested for Detroit fiend slaying

The Boston Sports and Entertainment Committee, including Celtics' star Sam Jones (second from left), has been created to coordinate a segment of Mayor White's "Summer 1968" Program. The committee is responsible for local implementation in regards to creating jobs, entertainment, education and recreation for youngsters. On the committee are, from left: Clarence Jones, Youth Coordinator for the City of Boston; Sam Jones, chairman; Gladys Eves, festival queen; Mayor White; and Roy Neblett, administrative assistant to the mayor.
