Two views at 34th Street and Seventh Avenue where Olga Salort, a 15-year-old school girl, walking with her sister and brother-in-law, was stabbed to death by a man identified by police as Eduardo Charrie, 35, a postal clerk, reportedly estranged from his wife. After stabbing the girl, Charrie stabbed himself near the heart as police and spectators gave chase. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in serious condition. Photo at left shows a detective bending over Charrie in a hallway on 34th Street before he was removed to the hospital. Photo at right taken from a window at 34th and 7th Avenue shows the body of Olga Salort of 2939 Ocean Parkway, Brooklyn, covered with a blanket after the stabbing.
