Two non-commissioned officers of the lancers, of whom one is at the foot of a wall on which on reads, "Maisons d'éducation," gives his shoulder as a mount for his comrade. The latter in profile to the right, holds on to the edge of the wall with one hand and in the other two letters which he is going to throw to the other side to some schoolboy to whom he calls.
