A young woman in a corridor, wearing the costume of plate no. 40 in the "Nouveaux travestissements" (title found in the section: "Costumes et Modes") gives her left arm to a young man in city dress, and listens to what a masked man on the other side whispers in her ear. He is dressed as a medieval squire.
