Hidden at the right by the counter-fort of a wall, a man in a deformed crooked hat over a cotton cap, 3/4 turned to the left, the head on the right, holds in one hand a club and a the other rolls up his sleeve: he is preparing to attack a young man with a placid figure, who is seen at the front on the right, on the other side of the counter-fort, and who comes forward reading a book attentively.
