Paul Henri Benjamin d'Estournelles de Constant, Baron, French politician, peace advocate, b. La Flèche 1852, member of the Hague Conference, gave the initiative to interparliamentary visits. Has written numerous articles in French and other newspapers and has lectured on peace and arbitration questions. Among his works are: "La vie de province en Grèce" (1878), "Les Congregations religieuses chez les arabes" (1887), "La politique française en Tunisie" (1891). In 1909 received, together with M. Beernaert, a Belgian, the Nobel Peace Prize.
