A church wedding. Turned to the left facing the altar, which is not seen, the husband kneels on a chair, near him a large sack of coins having the appearance of a human forms on its knees and wearing a crown of orange flowers and a veil. At left, the place of the wife, who is also kneeling, her head bowed and features hidden by her hands. Behind the husband on a chair, his hat filled with stamped papers on which one reads: "Prise de Corps." In the background at left, the porter and the grandparents. At right, the friends of the husband smiling and chatting pleasantly.
