Gavarni, Paul, 1804-1866 · 1854
Group of four poor young boys resting in a ravine: One standing, seen from the back, turned to the left, covered with an old torn coat, his head leaning against his arm leaning on a rock where are two of his companions. The first of these, with his head in the air, sits, one leg hanging, the other bent, both hands crossed on the knee; the second, lying on his back, knees up. The fourth, on the right, at the foot of the rock, the head forward, is also extended on the back.
